Greetings Earth Frens, Ratio here…
So I was scrollin’ as I do here in the stackiverse. As you know I took that break of about a year and a half until just recently. Stone Bryson told me there would be some things I would notice about Substack having trickled my sorry rump back in here.
I think I got a handle on it. People are cross posting their X posts here and not really engaging with Substack. Notes has made this more of a not-so-original social media site with very little focus on the writers and their writing. Just a blur of feed.
In the past I likened it to whispering into the hurricane. Eventually the hurricane gets closer and the people you assembled join you in the center where it’s calm and you do your thing. Build a following. Make a difference.
Now I would compare it with a moving train. It’s going like 200 miles an hour through the station. You toss a note or a post onto that train. It goes by and is forgotten.
The engagement is a little bit better but for having nearly 20K views and almost 200 subscribers is quite a change from last time.
Is that about right?
<kicks rocks, looks at shoes>
Frens, I found you some tasty memes.
And that my frens, is that.
On the plus, it seems like SS is good at keeping those that disagree with you at different ends of this place.
I might venture out and post a meme or two and watch the sparks fly. Not ready to roll out phase 2 yet.
Should I do it?
So, for now I’m staying on this side of the parallelogranny.
To my creator Frens, keep at it, we’ll get there together.
To my suscribers, I love you savages!

PS: Bonus meme! You OK babe, you haven’t touched your Triceramisu.

Treceramisu....where can I get one of those?? 😆
The first two, funny.
And Triceramisu (esp for somebody that speaks Italian).
Pretty much the rest, No.
Good dark humor always has a reflection of what could be an alternative good, without mundane nihilism.
If you think you've booked yourself an appointment to hell, you should really reevaluate a lot of things. Perhaps, what good, even in the smallest things, can you do when you wake up?
