You can tell what you’re in for by the level of eye contact the people around you make. I lived on Puget Sound for 70 years and it was possible to be around 100’s of people on any given day and make eye contact with maybe a dozen.
My kids and I had a similar experience in CA. We were out at the beginning of August most recently. Everyone is just REALLY nice. People are nicer in Atlanta than say NYC, but nothing like CA. Hoping it continues for you!
Haha, my dance teacher quoted me that 'You're exactly where you're supposed to be' meme. She rivals you in bad decisions and also in second chances. California's still just people, living their lives. Glad that your new neighborhood has some friendly ones. And if it's fake, I'm okay with that too. I'd rather have people faking niceness than faking their NYC cooler than thou.
Orange county almost isn't CA. It's a red island in a see of commie blue. And that is ebbing away. You've already seen the higher gas prices. Prepare to add probably $2/gallon to that as we lose more refineries. EVERYTHING is going to get more expensive. I wish I could get out. Wish you all the best, but strap in. It's likely to get rough.
Not sure what the backstory of the video is but I think it's weird that the rainbow was bent so it's probably an explainable phenomenon but who can explain it is the bigger question
Hey, congratulations on your move! I used to live in Los Angeles and I’m originally from Oregon, but I live in Florida now. I’ve lived many places. Orange County is pretty fucking chill. I had friends that lived there when I was in LA.
Honestly, I still really miss my friends and community from Southern California. If I ever wound up back there one day, it certainly would not be the end of the world.
Enjoy yourself and enjoy your time and enjoy the lovely sunshine. ❤️
Well done. I'd probably leave CA if I could. AZ will take a hit because of CA's crazy gasoline problems. AZ gets 60% of it's fuel from CA, so when prices spike here--and they will, badly--AZ will suffer, too. I hate the pols in CA. Total morons.
Welcome to SoCal and greetings from Venice Beach! We are just like other Americans but with more thoroughly rigged elections.
Karma is an unexamined belief.
Also I know what time it always is.
DONT COMPLY OCLOCK

OK, thanks for confirming I'm likely not crazy. Let's not get ahead of ourselves. I can still perceive reality but it has shifted.
Were you in Orange County for Disney Land, or somewhere else?
We were in LA, not OC.
I would rather do almost anything than go to Disney 🫠😂
I wondered if I had to put you on my prayer list! You don't strike me as a chick who would frequent the mouse. My faith is restored.
The world is filled with nice people. If you can't find one. Be one.

Heil Dough Boy ! 🤦♂️
Good luck with your move and relocation
Thanks for the memes
Yep, exactly 🤣

We'll be in AZ on Feb. 1st. Crisis averted!
Aliens, I always think Aliens! 🤣
What is the backstory of the rainbow video please?

What do you think?
Orange County isn’t the real California
Where NOT to go in LA: LA

Thanks for the note! Totally agree. OC is very chill.
Praying you have good luck out in Florida!
Colorado is where the weirdos that can’t afford California wind up. This explains why Coloradans are so miserable…
I agree with this assessment
Uh, CO is getting (already is?) wildly expensive.
Spent 17 years on CO before CA. Moving to AZ to a cheap town. Can’t wait!
